Formwork
Concrete formwork is the use of support structures and moulds to
create structures out of concrete which is poured into the moulds.
There are many different types of formwork used in construction,
usually differing according to what the building requirements and
challenges are. Formwork is used by creating moulds out of wood,
steel, aluminum or prefabricated forms into which the concrete is
poured.
Construction sites require a rigorous amount of care and vigilance
from workers in terms of health and safety. Many accidents and even
some fatalities happen to workers each year which could have been
avoided through proper application and awareness of on-site safety
procedures.
As someone working in the construction field, knowing the process
of creating concrete structures is very important. It is a material
that is becoming more popular for all kinds of use from home foundations
to even building an entire home from it. The only potential problem
with using concrete is that once it sets it is near impossible to
fix any mistakes.
Termites cause more damage than fire, storm & tempest, earthquakes
and floods every year. As more than one in three homes in Australia
get infested by termite, it makes sense to choose a reliable termite
protection system that is applied by an accredited, reliable and
professional termite protection firm. Our residual termite treatments
are Australian Standard compliant, and are extremely thorough.
Ghana builders are making the transition to ICFs, the new building
technology of insulated concrete forms. ICFs can be used to create
the stay in place formwork for nearly every exterior wall or interior
demising wall. ICFs can be used for load bearing and non-load bearing
wall applications, below grade foundation walls, single and multi-storey
above grade walls, insulated exterior walls, fire walls, acoustic
separations, and curtain wall applications.
